Principal's Corner

A message from the principal:

Welcome to Milan Elementary School, home of the Wildcats. I am excited that you have decided to navigate through our school's website to learn more about our staff, school programs and our amazing students. We're looking forward to the 2021-2022 school year. Currently we have not been updated by the Public Education Department as to what this school year will look like in regards to COVID. Any information we receive will be shared with you immediately. Please like our Facebook page for important information and look for the Wildcat face icon.

As your child's first teacher, you can help them be successful throughout their school years by doing the following:

  • Maintain regular, positive communication with your child's teacher(s).

  • Talk with your child every day about what is going on at school.

  • Discuss the work your child brings home.

  • Check homework after it is complete.

  • Be available to assist with homework.

  • Set high standards for work that is performed.

  • Guide the development of good study habits.

  • Maintain good communication with the teacher.

  • Communicate your confidence and pride to your child every day.

  • Attend parent conferences and participate in school activities as much as possible.

  • Let us know how we can meet the needs of your child.

I encourage you to visit our website often as we update it regularly. Your participation in our school is needed and greatly appreciated. Our vision for our students is: Every child, every day, building a person for life by engaging students through rigorous learning, in a nurturing environment, while developing the whole child.

Here's to an awesome and successful year together!

Let's go Wildcats!
